This course is suitable for those new to ceramics and those who already have some experience with clay. In 8 weeks, we will guide you through a diverse range of techniques while you will create your first pieces to take home When the course is done.


We will start with a diverse range of handbuilding techniques. in week three you will also start with the basics of throwing on the wheel. In this course you will focus on a wide spectrum of ceramic techniques and is therefore a great way to see which ceramic path suits you best.

This course offers a diverse range of techniques that will help any beginner explore ceramics in a broad sense.
if your main focus will be on wheel throwing then please look into one of our other courses where the focus will be mainly on the wheel. As a studio we do wholeheartedly recommend this allround ceramics course to newcommers because many handbuilding techniques come back in throwing as well.


A maximum of 6 pieces can be fired and glazed during this course. The main focus in a course is on techniques, the process and practising.


After this course, for those who feel confident and wish to continue by making and experimenting by themselves, you can sign up for a membership at Pansa. You might already be able to start with this during the course. We will guide you in these steps. Many of our former students became makers and now use the studio as full time members.
